“My Summer of Love and Misfortune” - The debut novel by Lindsay Wong
Over the years, I have found that some of my best reading experiences have come from the books I find at Dollartree
I love to read, and I don't mind reading electronically, but I feel such a deeper connection to a story when I have a paper book in my hands.
I love the books from dollar tree because they are always a surprise! They are so affordable that I can grab several off the shelves just based off the cover and read them at my leisure, I never know what to expect inside.
Its just so inherently different than reading a book from an author I know well and anticipated for weeks.
Today I finished reading "My Summer of Love and Misfortune", the debut novel by author Lindsay Wong. I really enjoyed this book.
It is an easy read, great for young adults, following the path less traveled transitioning from high school to college and adulthood. The author manages to share a realistic representation of life in modern china without creating a heart wrenching scene, which I really appreciate. This would be a great book for a plane ride!
I’m curious, does anyone else have good experience reading books from Dollar Tree? It is how I have found some of my favorites 😍
